Discover the beauty and freedom of Zeibekiko, one of Greece's most expressive and powerful dances, with Zeibekiko specialist, dance teacher and Zeibekiko Festival Australia Director, Sophia Ventouris, together with lead male dancer Dimitri Lahanas.

Zeibekiko is far more than learning steps. It is a dance of emotion, individuality and self-expression. Every movement reflects your inner world, allowing you to tell your own story through dance.

These workshops are designed to help you build the confidence to express yourself naturally through self-improvisation—the true heart and essence of authentic Zeibekiko.

Whether you are a complete beginner or already have experience, you will develop the skills needed to dance with confidence, authenticity and feeling.

During the workshops you will learn:

• The foundations of authentic Zeibekiko technique
• Essential footwork and step combinations
• Body posture and balance
• Arm positioning and expressive movement
• Traditional turns and transitions
• Rhythm, musical interpretation and timing
• "Htipimata" (traditional rhythmic hits and accents)
• Confidence in improvisation and personal expression
• How to dance with emotion rather than memorising choreography

Our teaching approach encourages every participant to discover their own style while respecting the traditions of this iconic Greek dance.
